For an overview of entries in the web.xml file of your Web project, required to run the Infinity Process Platform Portal or provided to customize the portal, refer to chapter Web Application Deployment Descriptor in the Rapid Application Development guide. Please note that using the Browser refresh for refreshing the Portal is not recommended as this could lead to data loss. The Portal sections for views, perspectives or launch panels provide individual refresh options which can be invoked by clicking the Refresh icon in the according tool bar.
You can use the Portal Framework provided with the Infinity Process Platform Portal to modify and extend the content of the portal and add your own application components. Please refer to the chapter Extending the Infinity Portal Components of the Programming Guide Extending the Infinity Portal Components of the Programming Guide for detailed information.
You have the option to internationalize the following text elements in the Infinity Process Platform Portal:

Infinity Process Platform Portal error messages are displayed along with error code, which can be useful for developers. The footer in the Portal provides you with information on copyright, company name and product version number. In case you like to customize the displayed footer, you can use a custom skin. Refer to section Portal Footer of chapter Creating and Using Custom Skins for according options and how to specify these.
